Ten acts did so for the first time, either as lead artists, guest appearances, or collaborations. B2K, LL Cool J, 50 Cent, and Sean Paul were among them. 50 Cent and Knowles had the longest-running singles of 2003: 50 Cent’s first No. 1 single, “In da Club,” and Knowles’ second No. 1 single, “Baby Boy,” spent nine consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Hip-hop duo OutKast’s “Hey Ya!” topped the chart for nine consecutive weeks, including three in 2003. Beyoncé had the most weeks at the top with 17, combining the charts of “Crazy in Love” and “Baby Boy.

The #1 Song of 2003
2003 was dominated by 50 Cent’s “In da Club.” The song spent no less than nine weeks at the top of the charts. It was also the best-selling and most-played song of the year 2003!
